To quote a famous personality, “I love bread!” and the best is to sample bread from around the world.

I love to travel, particularly to Europe, and each country or region visited has a different style of bread and the deliciousness also varies, but it is such a simple way to involve oneself in the culture of the destination. Visiting historical sites, cathedrals, museums and immersing in the local cultures all add to the entire experience, but often it is the food and local wines (or beer) that gives the greatest pleasure.

One of my favorite things to do when I travel abroad, or even here in the USA, is to take a walking food tour in the town or city visited to explore history and culture through the local specialties. These food tours have never disappointed, and have allowed me to sample foods that I may not have known about or tried on my own.

Each destination I have traveled to over the years, whether a beach vacation, spa trip with girlfriends a luxury cruise or an immersive guided or customized tour has provided great pleasure and memorable experiences, often from the things that do not go quite right while traveling! Travel to new places allows me to gain greater knowledge of each location, culture, or cruise line, and use this experience to assist others in creating dream vacations of their own.
