About
Scott Hunter spent 25 years in the automotive world before turning his lifelong love of travel into a second career more than 15 years ago. After purchasing a Cruise Holidays franchise, he built The Traveling Man Vacations into a guest-focused business and now serves as its Chief Experience Officer. Scott’s philosophy is simple: prioritize the relationship between agent and traveler, and design experiences that match real people’s needs — not just vendor checklists.
Through hands-on experience and ongoing vendor certifications, Scott has become a trusted specialist in several areas:
- Alaska — extensive experience with over eight trips, both land tours and cruise itineraries
- European river cruises — deep knowledge of routes, ships, and excursions
- Custom tours across Europe — tailored itineraries for independent and multi‑stop travel
- All‑inclusive resorts — family escapes to luxury getaways
Scott’s cruise preferences lean toward ultra‑luxury and premium river operators — Regent, Silversea, Uniworld, and Avalon — and he uses that expertise to match clients with the best fit for their expectations and budgets. Committed to community and advocacy, Scott also serves on multiple boards and actively raises awareness for causes he believes in.
If you want a travel planner who blends industry know‑how with a people‑first approach, Scott is the kind of advisor who will craft the kind of trip you’ll actually remember.
