Santa Cruz II

Get ready to embark on a ship built with Galápagos Island cruising in mind! Conceived for operations in remote areas like the Galápagos Archipelago, the new Santa Cruz II boasts five spacious decks with modern interiors designed by renowned Swedish ship designer Richard Nilsson. Just over 70 meters long, the new vessel sleeps 90 guests in 50 contemporary designed staterooms – 36 of which can be interconnected, offering flexibility for families and single travelers. Guests can choose from luxuriously appointed double and triple Explorer cabins, or opt for the more exclusive Darwin Suite, an exceptional standard of accommodation on the Panorama Deck. All staterooms are equipped with air conditioning, a large picture window, hair dryer, iPod / MP3 docking station, numerous electrical outlets, in-room safe, reading lights and more. From top to bottom, Santa Cruz II features ample, indulgent spaces crafted from choice materials, including wide hallways and broad stairwells. Wyndham Guayaquil

Situated just steps from historic Santa Ana Hill and its famous lighthouse, the Wyndham Guayaquil boasts easy access to Guayaquil’s attractions, including the Las Peñas neighborhood and the World Trade Center Guayaquil. Each of the spacious guest rooms includes thoughtful amenities like plush pillow-top bedding, down pillows, minibar, floor-to-ceiling windows, bathrobe, digital safe and 43-inch flat screen satellite TV. Guests can stay fit at the state-of-art-fitness center or relax with a swim in the heated outdoor pool, which offers glorious views of the city from the 9th floor terrace. The onsite Restaurante Rio Grande serves up bountiful buffets for breakfast and lunch, and a selection of exquisitely prepared local and international à la carte dishes for dinner. And after a day of exploring, the Numa Bar is the ideal spot to relax with a cocktail.

Children under 18 must be booked in a room with at least one adult. Triple accommodations are not available for more than two adults, age 18 or older, sharing a room. Interconnecting cabins (subject to availability) can be booked onboard Santa Cruz II. Quads will be accommodated in two double rooms. Aboard ship, triple cabins are two beds and a pull-out couch; they are limited to two adults (age 18 or older) sharing a room with one child under age 18. In hotels, triples are usually a two-bedded room plus one rollaway bed.

Note: Galápagos: Wildlife Wonderland is a very active journey with considerable walking on uneven terrain. For activities marked with an asterisk (*) in the day-by-day descriptions, participation is at your own risk; a signed liability waiver will be required. Please note activity and pace level details as detailed on the Overview tab. Departures are hosted by one Tauck Director for approximately every 40 guests. We may not visit each of the islands in the order outlined, but we typically visit two different sites per day. Our Galápagos itinerary is subject to change due to wildlife encounters, atmospheric conditions and Galápagos National Park directives.
