Steve Frankel is the Owner and Senior Travel Advisor of Cruises & Cameras Travel Services. Through Its host agency, it is a member of the Signature Travel Network, a travel agency co-op based in El Segundo, CA whose annual revenues of its members exceeds $8 billion.
He is a Signature Travel Expert — one of the most demanding designations that can be earned in the travel industry. He has written nine books and hundreds of feature articles. His latest book is “Choosing Great Cameras for Cruises & Tours.” He is also a published travel photographer, writes his own blog, and is an experienced public speaker.
Steve has sailed with his wife, as paying passengers on more than 40 Seabourn, Regent, Silversea, Crystal, Azamara, Oceania, Windstar Princess, Celebrity, and Royal Clipper, Uniworld cruises.

Steve Frankel is the Organizer of the Los Angeles Photography Meetup Group and the West Los Angeles Travel Photography Meetup Group. They have a combined total of more than 880 members. He enjoys getting the participants together to share their love of street shooting, the latest cameras and travel photography.
His travel consulting focuses on planning vacations on small ships (under 1300 guests); and suggesting experiences and photo opportunities in every port. He also enjoys planning before- and after-cruise stays that involve travel, dining and cultural opportunities. He specializes in groups, couples and solo cruises.
Steve has a doctorate and master’s degree from Indiana University with majors and minors in Information Systems Design, Educational Research, Marketing and Quantitative Business Analysis.
Before working in the travel industry, he was an educational contractor and marketing director, a software developer and systems analyst, a securities advisor, an IT manager, a school district and college administrator, and a teacher.
