ARRIVE SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA
Arrive in San Francisco, where you meet your private driver for your transfer to Napa Valley and your five-star resort, featuring a three-Michelin-star restaurant, championship croquet lawns, seven tennis courts, a nine-hole walking golf course, hiking trails, pools and a state-of-the-art fitness center.
NAPA VALLEY | GUIDED WINE JOURNEY
Internationally known as one of the world’s greatest wine regions, Napa Valley has more than 45,000 acres of picturesque rolling hills planted with vineyards year-round, with several hundred wineries calling the valley home. Explore a carefully chosen few with your guide during a day of specially arranged private tastings at three outstanding wineries, selected to match your preferences and palate.
NAPA VALLEY | FARM TO TABLE
Enjoy a free morning to relax and settle into your hotel. In the early afternoon, meet your private driver-guide for transfer to Peju Winery, where you join your host at the winery kitchen or at their al fresco wood-fired brick oven for a shared, hands-on cooking lesson. Pick vegetables and herbs from their organic garden and learn special tips for making delicious farm-to-table, wine-country inspired meals — and of course, for pairing your dish with the perfect varietal.
NAPA VALLEY | CULINARY ADVENTURE
After a leisurely morning at the hotel, set out for a private culinary tour and learn why wine country is just as renowned for its cuisine as for its viticulture. Learn the fascinating history of this beautiful riverfront town, one where celebrity chefs intermingle with organic farmers and boutique winemakers. Begin at the new Oxbow Market, where a seasonal bounty of California specialty foods and produce awaits you. Cross the Napa River and visit 19th-century historic buildings that weathered Prohibition to showcase the latest trends in California food and wine. Your culinary adventure includes stops at as many as seven venues, with tastings in each one. This afternoon, transfer to Forestville and check into your hotel, with a Michelin-star restaurant on site.
SONOMA VALLEY | TOWERING REDWOOD TRUNKS
After breakfast, join your private certified naturalist-guide for a morning tour of the Armstrong Redwoods State Reserve. California’s redwoods are the tallest living things on earth — the tallest is more than 300 feet high. They’re also among the planet’s oldest life, with one in particular (known affectionately as Colonel Armstrong) dating back some 1,400 years. Your private guide teaches you the complex ecology of the coastal redwood groves as well as their history as you take in this stunning natural wonder.
SONOMA VALLEY | A DAY OF VITICULTURE
Sonoma’s amazing range of terroir and microclimates distinguishes the valley as one of the most diverse grape-growing regions in the world. In the late morning, meet your guide for a private bicycling and wine tasting tour in Sonoma Wine Country. Ride through the beautiful valley on county roads alongside the vineyards, stopping for tastings at two wineries along the way. Your route is completely customized, and wineries confirmed, in accordance with your varietal preferences. Return to your accommodations in the late afternoon.
